As a holiday homeowner, what were your reasons to begin holiday letting in Cornwall?
“We wanted to create a space that felt like a true escape—calm, comfortable, and close to the sea. Letting the cottage out was a way to share that with others who are looking for a peaceful break in a beautiful spot. Holiday letting also gave us the chance to combine creativity with practicality and offer something we’d love to stay in ourselves.”
What top tip would you like to share with anyone who is planning to carry out a large renovations to prepare for letting?
“We wanted She Sells Sanctuary to feel warm, welcoming and practical, not just stylish prioritise comfort, storage and good lighting – the views help too.”
Can you share some insights into your experience of researching and choosing a holiday let agency for your holiday home in St Ives, Cornwall?
“We were really keen to work with a smaller agency—somewhere we wouldn’t get lost in the mix. We wanted a team that was approachable, collaborative, and easy to communicate with. It was important to feel like we were working with someone, not just handing over the keys. That personal connection made a big difference, and it’s been a great fit so far.”
In your words, how would you best describe the features and amenities that makes She Sells Sanctuary stand out to guests?
“It’s a calm, stylish hideaway that still feels like home. We’ve gone for soft tones, comfy furnishings, and little touches that make a big difference—from proper coffee to good quality linens.”
What measures do you take to ensure that every guest has a welcoming and memorable stay at She Sells Sanctuary?
“We always aim to keep the cottage spotless and ready to welcome guests. It’s really important to us that everything feels fresh, calm, and considered. We’re also just a call or message away if guests need anything—whether it’s help with the heating or tips for a day out. We leave a welcome pack with some thoughtful touches and a guide to help them settle in quickly, so they can focus on enjoying their stay.”
As an owner who signed with us for Marketing and Support. How have you found your bookings with us during your first month of marketing with us?
“Really encouraging so far! The photos and listing looked amazing, and we had interest straight away. The team has been great—easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions. It’s felt like a proper partnership, and we’re really happy with how it’s all started off.”
