A large holiday cottage is the perfect venue for your group holiday or celebration, and we have a great choice of spacious holiday cottages here in Cornwall. From town houses in St Ives (ideal for dining out) to beachside cottages for fun family days, there’s a great selection of large holiday homes to choose from. View our guide to holidays for large groups in Cornwall below.
Holidays for Large Groups in Cornwall.
Why choose Cornwall for your group holiday? With its glorious coastline and world-famous beaches, it’s the perfect UK destination for a summer getaway. A seaside holiday is just the thing for a diverse group of people: if you love swimming, surfing, painting, sailing, fishing, hiking or simply sitting on the sand with a good book, there’s something for everyone at the coast. And if you’re on holiday with kids, there’s nothing better than being close to a beach.
Then there’s the food. If you’re coming to Cornwall to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or engagement, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to excellent restaurants. There are plenty of private dining options, too, and our large holiday homes come with stunning kitchens that are a joy to cook and eat in.

Entertainment at Home on Holidays for Large Groups in Cornwall.
If you’re going on holiday as a group, self-catering is the best option. A large holiday cottage makes sure that you have plenty of space for socialising, while also giving everyone the privacy of their own bedrooms. At Cornish Escapes, our larger holiday homes are designed for groups to enjoy each other’s company, with plenty of comfy seating, generous-sized tables for convivial dining and kitchens that make light work of big meals.
Look out for holiday cottages and apartments with outdoor cooking and dining areas for summer evening parties and barbecues (and if you’re holidaying with kids and dogs, a garden is a real bonus). There are lots of wonderful farm shops and food markets in Cornwall, so catering at home is a real pleasure.

Activities for Group Holidays in Cornwall.
Do you and your friends fancy trying something new on your Cornwall holiday? St Ives Surf School offers surfing, stand up paddleboarding and kayaking sessions for everyone from rookies to pros, or you could bond as a family and book a coasteering day. Zoom across the Eden Project on the famous Hangloose Adventure zip wire or for a calmer outdoor activity, book a foraging walk with Fat Hen. Eating Out on Group Holidays in Cornwall.
Dining out as a large group can be a challenge; however, here in Cornwall there are plenty of places that are delighted to welcome parties (we just suggest booking well in advance).
One of our favourite spots for group dining is in our local town, St Ives. The Loft Restaurant in the old artists’ quarter serves incredible local produce. Their undercover sun terrace is especially good for large parties, and welcomes four-pawed diners.
Private Dining for Group Holidays in Cornwall.
Private dining is an excellent option for larger groups. Robert Michael at Flavour & Wine offers a private chef service across Cornwall, cooking and serving delectable dishes using fabulous Cornish ingredients.
Our guests also recommend Chef Natasha. A St Ives fisherman’s daughter and professional chef, Natasha Osborne will work with you to create a bespoke menu and then will cook the most delicious meals in your Cornish holiday cottage. We love the idea of private dining – a wonderful way to make the most of your large holiday home.

As Operations Manager for Cornish Escapes, Alex works closely with Louise, our Director, overseeing the day-to-day running of the business, supporting owners and integrating new holiday homes. He also ensures the company remains fully compliant with Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety regulations.
Alex’s love for Cornwall began during childhood holidays before relocating from the Midlands over twenty years ago. His local knowledge and passion for the county help guests discover the very best places to stay in Cornwall, from relaxing coastal retreats to family-friendly escapes.
When it comes to places to visit, Alex recommends exploring Cornwall’s beautiful National Trust locations and the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac, famous for its harbour and traditional charm. For food, he highly recommends The Old Quay House in Hayle for a fantastic Sunday roast – especially popular with his family thanks to the outdoor play area.
