Family-Friendly Food in Port Isaac.

The 18th-century Golden Lion on Fore Street serves classic pub grub: grab a spot on the balcony for fantastic harbour views. You may recognise the pub's cosy interior: it plays the local in Doc Martin, and itself in the Fisherman’s Friends movie.

Try the convivial All Aboard for its delicious pizzas and relaxed vibe. Trevathan Farm Shop & Restaurant in nearby St Endellion is a family favourite for meals, snacks and those all-important ice cream pitstops. These friendly eateries also welcome four-pawed family members, so nobody needs to be left out.

Port Isaac’s Fish Restaurants.

As you can imagine, Port Isaac is an excellent place to come for the freshest fish. Fresh From The Sea serves and sells seafood caught from their very own boat: a crab sandwich lunch here is a real Port Isaac must. The Mote on Fore Street serves delicious Cornish produce in an elegantly simple setting. This welcoming restaurant is super dog friendly. 

For one of the most evocative settings in North Cornwall, head along the coast to neighbouring Port Gaverne, where Pilchards @ Port Gaverne is right on the beach. Tuck into the day’s catch on the restaurant’s decking where the waves almost touch your toes. Fancy a simple fish supper to round off your day? Food and Drink for a Special Occasion in Port Isaac.

Chef Nathan Outlaw has two restaurants in Port Isaac. The Fish Kitchen is in the centre of the village, housed in a medieval fisherman's cottage. The fixed-priced seafood menu changes daily; as the restaurant explains, “the sea and fishermen dictate our menu”. There’s nowhere quite like it as a treat for seafood lovers. His other Port Isaac restaurant, Outlaw’s Bistro is a more relaxed place, serving “simple, honest food that we love to eat ourselves.”

If you want to leave the lively village for an evening, try the elegant restaurant at the Port Gaverne Hotel. Again, it specialises in seafood and local produce, including Cornish wines. Yeghes da!
